Paper. Canvas. Thread.
Designed for artists with some experience who are ready to work at a larger scale toward deeper levels of integration of mixed media material. All levels are welcome.
Collectively led by the trio the workshop explores the intersection of paint, collage, and fiber, with a focus on translating ideas from smaller works onto larger, more complex surfaces.
Through demonstrations, shared dialogue, and substantial studio time, participants will investigate how disparate materials can work together as a cohesive visual language. Emphasis is placed on material contrast, compositional clarity, and decision-making as work progresses.
Participants will work on canvas, wooden panels, or paper and explore strategies for scale, structure, editing, and resolution. Instruction includes intuitive mark making, compositional and concept, and the integration of fiber (hand and machine sewing) as both structural and expressive tools.
This workshop is ideal for artists ready to move beyond experimentation toward more intentional, resolved work.
