Join me and Bay Area artist and curator Carl Heyward for a transformative 3-day workshop in my Santa Fe studio. Fragments and Foundations is a deep dive into the expressive and richly layered world of mixed media collage.
Through hands-on demonstrations, individual guidance, and plenty of studio time, you’ll explore:
The difference between mixed media and collage—and how they overlap
Choosing and preparing surfaces and adhesives
Creating and sourcing dynamic collage papers
Incorporating mark making and paint
Strategies for starting, composing, and finishing a piece
Cultivating a personal approach to mixed media, developing your authentic voice in this medium
Whether you're new to collage or seeking to push your work further, this workshop offers a supportive and inspiring environment to experiment, take risks, and develop your visual language.
